Alyssa M. Johnson is Of Counsel at Lexpat Global Services, where she advises clients on complex litigation, investigations, and human rights matters.  She brings nearly a decade of experience representing organizations and individuals in high-stakes legal and regulatory proceedings.

Prior to joining Lexpat, Alyssa practiced in New York and Washington, D.C., where she counseled clients on internal investigations and criminal and civil enforcement matters brought by the U.S. Department of Justice and federal regulatory agencies, including the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC), and the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA).

Alyssa has also built a respected human rights practice focused on international criminal law and advocacy before the United Nations and regional human rights bodies. Her work includes representing petitioners before the Inter-American Commission on Human Rights and the Inter-American Court of Human Rights in a landmark case clarifying States’ obligations to prevent and prosecute sexual violence.

Alyssa holds a J.D. from Georgetown University Law Center and a B.A. in International Relations from Michigan State University. She is admitted to practice in New York and the District of Columbia.
